Hi, Custom Policies can be developed using JAVA and restrictions can be defined in the code as explained in the [Custom Policies](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/latest/vdp/developer/custom_policies/custom_policies) section of the Virtual DataPort Developer Guide. In case, I would like to access the views from Virtual DataPort using VQL statements via the Custom policy, then I would add internal JDBC connection to the Virtual DataPort Server in my JAVA code and access the elements as required. You could take a look at this similar Community Question: [Access to view data in CustomPolicy class](https://community.denodo.com/answers/question/details?questionId=9060g0000004FSlAAM&title=Access+to+view+data+in+CustomPolicy+class) for more details. Hope this helps!
