Hi, The main difference between the published REST web service and the RESTful web service is that the user can provide an access to the limited set of views instead of all views. Hence the users who are accessing this published web service is limited to the set of views not for all the views. However, access to the specific views over the several views on a published REST Web service can be restricted by deploying a web service using the [HTTP Basic With VDP]( as an authentication. In this option, when a user is accessing the REST API, it will prompt for user to enter their login/credentials. Then these login/credentials will be validated against the Virtual Dataport Server and display the views only that the user has privileges on it.(i.e not on every view that is part of the published web service). At this moment, Virtual Dataport does not provide any option to have a static URL for the published REST Web service to avoid exposing its access to forbidden users. If you still need help and if you are a user with valid support access then you can raise a support case in Denodo [Support Site]( so that our support team can help you. Hope this helps!
