Unable to establish connection to local host

Name:jdbc_sql Database adapter: Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (MS Driver) I am using SQL Server 2019 Express Database url: jdbc:sqlserver://localhost;IntegratedSecurity=true;DatabaseName=incident Left all the others blank I get an error: Unable to establish connection: The TCP/IP connection to the host , port 1433 has failed. Verify connection properties. Make sure an instance of SQL Server is running on the host and accepting TCP/IP connections at the port. I opened configuration manager and set TCP/IP to enabled. I am still getting this error.

I was able to figure out the answer. Even if the TCP/IP is enabled, I had to stop and start the SQL Server in the SQL Server Configuration Manager for the enabling option to take effect.

Hi, Iam glad you were able to resolve the issue. SQL Server service needs to be re started for settings to take effect. Regards
