How to export the meta data and resource files with more granularity?

Hi Team, We are documenting the procedures for Denodo 7.0 to Denodo 8.0 product upgrade. We are planning for phased migration. We don't want to export the entire meta data as a whole but we would like to split it in several sprints. Say few application per sprint will be upgraded, tested and incorporated with inflight changes..Once stabilized will leverage it by upgrading few more applications to 8.0. Is that possible to export the meta data file and resourse file such a way that each file contains only one particular application specific elements? Is there parameters available to restrcit the export per vdp, per data source, per folder etc? Can I export the elements from Data Catalog, Scheduler and solution manager also likewise? Thanks & Regards, Manju

Hi, In a situation where I have to upgrade to a newer Denodo Platform version, I would migrate all the elements of each component (like Virtual DataPort, Scheduler, Data Catalog, etc.) one at a time such that I do not face any issues in the newer version. It is also possible to migrate only the desired components based on the requirement. I would suggest you take a look at the sections under the[ Denodo Platform Upgrade Guide](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/latest/en/platform/upgrade/index) for more information on how to perform migration. In any case if you still need help and if you are a valid support user then you can raise a support case in [Denodo Support Site](https://support.denodo.com/) so that our support team can help you. Hope this helps!
