Build a custom docker image to avail denodo so that later denodo database could be accessed via Databricks

I have a problem where my requirement is to Build a custom docker image to avail denodo so that later denodo database could be accessed via Databricks . The problem is to set up everything inside docker image so that any developer is able to use denodo in Databricks environment using this docker image. Currently all the scripts and configurations are set in Databricks manually and want to automate the process through Docker

Hi, In order to build a custom docker image for the Denodo Platform, I would perform the following steps: * Generate a Denodo Platform auto-installation XML file. * Create a customized Dockerfile with the instructions to build a docker image using the Denodo Platform auto-installation file. * Prepare a build folder with the auto-installation XML file (an unzipped Denodo Platform installer for Linux and the Dockerfile). * Execute the docker build command in the build folder. You can refer to the Knowledge Base article [How to create your own Docker images for Denodo Platform Containers]( to get a detailed explanation of the above steps. You can also have a look at the User Manual [Denodo Platform Container 8.0 QuickStart Guide]( for more information. I have gone throught he docs already.I dont want to install Denodo through Docker. I have a Denodo endpoint with JDBC like jdbc:vdp:denodo-xxxx/<port> . I just want this endpoint to be mentioned in the Docker file such that after image is built, it can be readily available through Databricks.

Hi, In order to define the value of the JDBC URL from inside the Image, I would explore the [ENV]( or [ARG]( option in Docker. Also, I will contact docker admin to get help for generating a the docker image. Hope this helps!
