Issue post installing Denodo Express

Hi Team, I am not able to create any folder/VDB after successfully installing Denodo Express in one of the WIndows Machine with the default login/password: admin/admin. I took help of the IT team while installing it in the machine as advised during installation. (As the user must had admin rights for installing) The Error what I am facing is **" Error accessing the metadata while loading/storing objects"** I tried the alternative of "Right click and run as administrator" alternative with the help of my IT team but the error was same in this scenario as well. Can you please advise on where I am missing or what different approach I should follow to make this work. Awaiting for your response. Thanks, Siva

Hi, In your case, it is possible that you may not have started the Virtual DataPort Server/Administration Tool as an Administrator. Apart from starting the Virtual Dataport Administration server as an administrator, the Virtual Dataport Administration Toll should also be started as an Administrator if it is installed in a different machine. You could perform the below steps to test your case: * Stop all the Denodo Platform servers and tools * Kill all the Java Processes * Open the Denodo Control Center with the option “Run as administrator”. * Start the Virtual DataPort Server. * Connect from the Virtual DataPort Administration Tool as an Administrator and try creating a virtual database or a folder accordingly. You could also refer to similar community Q&A answered **[here](https://community.denodo.com/answers/question/details?questionId=9060g0000004FSWAA2&title=No+privilege+to+create+database%2Fusers%3F)** and [**here**](https://community.denodo.com/answers/question/details?questionId=90670000000Cc7rAAC&title=Error+when+trying+to+create+a+new+virtual+DB). Well the above suggestions didn't work for me, neither the additional links provided. But as a work around, what I did is uninstall Denodo Express, Installed it again and while Installing, gave the exact path for Installation right from C:\Users\ .... rather than keeping the Default path By doing so, was able to fix the issue for my case!

Hi, I'm glad that you were able to resolve the issue by providing full installation path during the re-installation. You also can refer to **[Denodo Platform Installation Guide](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/platform/installation/index)** for more information. Hope this helps!
