Export script - Denodo Data Catalog

Hi, We are trying to take backup of the Data Catalog metadata (Denodo 8 base version). For that we are using the export script that has been provided. In our environment we have https configured and http connections have been blocked. **So, when we run the export script:-** sh /local1/denodo/Denodo8/tools/data-catalog/ -https -h -p 9443 -l admin -P xxxx -f /local1/denodo/server_backup/"Dev_datacatalogbackup_$(date +"%Y_%m_%d_%I_%M%S_%p").zip" -contentSearch -personalization -kerberos -permission -recommendations ** we get :-** Trying to connect to Please wait. The operation could take several minutes... Export complete. **But when we look at the file that has been created, it has only this content:-** Bad Request This combination of host and port requires TLS. What can be done to remediate this? We are already using "https" in the export script to specify HTTPS/TLS connection

Hi This is a known issue with an older version of Denodo which has been fixed in the update denodo-v70-update-20201116. The Denodo Platform updates can be downloaded from [Denodo Support Site]( In order to download the latest update, you need a support user with a valid license. Hope this helps!

Hi, I apologize for the misunderstanding. The error message "This combination of host and port requires TLS" could have occurred if the right protocol is not used when connecting to the server. In order to o find the root cause of that issue, I would check the possible causes in the** vdp-data-catalog.log** file located at <DENODO_HOME>\logs\vdp-data-catalog. As a workaround, if possible, I would graphically do the export by logging into the Data Catalog. You can have a look at the section [Import and Export Data Catalog Metadata]( of the Data Catalog Guide.
