Why cache job is taking too much time to establish connection to the database.

Hi, We have scheduled a cache job in scheduler to load the cache. But it is taking too much time to connect to the database. Sometime it takes one and half hour and sometime 2 hours to establish a connection to the database. Once it establishes the connection it does not take much time. Within 5 to 10 minutes it completes execution. But the initial time it is taking to establish connection is too much. I want to know how cache job can establish connection to the databsse as soon as job starts. Right now we are using http connection(not https). Does it have any affect on it?. One more thing. When I manually load the cache from design studio, sometime it gives timeout becasue it does not establish connection to the databse. When I run it 4 to 5 times then it establishes the connection and load the cache. So same connection establishment issue I am facing when I run scheduler job or load cache manually. How to establish connection to database faster? Thanks

Hi, As root the cause of the problem has been identified, I will recommend you to try the following two steps: 1. Speak with your database administrator on a possible resolution for this connectivity issue 2. If problem persists, consider reviewing this Knowledge Base article - [Best Practices to Maximize Performance III: Caching](https://community.denodo.com/kb/en/view/document/Best%20Practices%20to%20Maximize%20Performance%20III%3A%20Caching#h.s3p69j7d58pi) Hope this helps!
