In Denodo Virtual Dataport, you can utilize the pre-defined stored procedures [GET_SOURCE_CHANGES](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/vql/stored_procedures/predefined_stored_procedures/get_source_changes#get-source-changes) and [GET_VIEWS](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/vql/stored_procedures/predefined_stored_procedures/get_views) to detect the changes at source level.
* GET_SOURCE_CHANGES procedure returns the difference between schema of the base view and schema of the table in the datasource.
* GET_VIEWS procedure returns information about all the views.
* It is possible to join the GET_VIEWS procedure and the GET_SOURCE_CHANGES procedure to detect which fields of the views have changed.
For more information, you could refer to the following Knowledge Base article [How to detect changes in data source](https://community.denodo.com/kb/en/view/document/How%20to%20detect%20changes%20in%20data%20sources?category=Data+Sources#h.9soxwego8ca1).
Additionally, if you want to automate this process, then you can create a scheduler job. For detailed steps, refer to the following Knowledge Base article[ Automating the detection of the changes in scheduler](https://community.denodo.com/kb/en/view/document/How%20to%20detect%20changes%20in%20data%20sources?category=Data+Sources#h.ola1exz5pidh).
I hope this helps!!!
