VDP adapter is not allowed by the license.

Hi, We have recently set up Denodo 8.0 Standard using the AWS AMI: Denodo 8.0 Standard (30 day free trial) and we are trying to set up a connection to a similar Denodo 8.0 instance on Azure. When trying to set up a new data source, we can test the connection (it works ok) but are unable to save the configuration and get the following message: "Error saving datasource: Creation of new JDBC data source with the 'VDP' adapter is not allowed by the license". From what i can see in the docs - both standard and platform edition support Multi-Layered Denodo deployments. Any help appreciated! Kyle Henly.

Hi, In Denodo Standard free trial version, Denodo Virtual DataPort is restricted to use as a data source. Since you tried to use a Virtual DataPort as a data source, you got the error **“Error saving datasource: Creation of new JDBC data source with the ‘VDP’ adapter is not allowed by the license” **. To know more about the restrictions of the Denodo Standard, you could take a look at the [Restrictions of Denodo Standard](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/platform/installation/appendix/restrictions_of_denodo_standard/restrictions_of_denodo_standard#restrictions-of-denodo-standard) section in the Denodo Platform Installation Guide. Also, for any questions regarding the Denodo Standard free trial, please feel free to reach the Denodo Cloud Solutions Team (**cloud.solutions@denodo.com**). Hope this helps!!
