How to manage Remote Tables in Denodo Test and Production environments

Beeing able to use Remote Tables is a very nice opportunity i many situations. When used with our Datawarehouse solution we whant to achieve a following situation - In the DenodoTest we use Production data when developing new solutions. When using Remot tables they need to be Co-located with the produktion data, that is share the same Data source. To enable delegation of Join's. When moving to Denodo Prod we do not whant to do any changes in the Base View's using the Remote Tables or the Data source, but still we need to clearly separate the Remote Tables used in Denodo test and the ones used in Denodo Prod, by name or Schema or .. How can we accompsh the situation described above?

Hi, In scenarios where I need to have a different identification for the remote table, I would use a different name for the Remote Table or its corresponding base view during the remote table creation process. You could refer to the document [Creating Remote Table](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/administration/remote_tables/managing_remote_tables/managing_remote_tables#creating-remote-tables) for more details. In case, if the remote table is already created, then I would edit the related details of the Remote Table by using the Edit options available to modify the remote table related details or its corresponding base view details. For more information, you could refer to the following sections of the Virtual DataPort Administration Guide., [Editing Remote Table](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/administration/remote_tables/managing_remote_tables/managing_remote_tables#editing-remote-tables) section and also, check [Viewing the Schema of a Base View](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/administration/creating_data_sources_and_base_views/viewing_the_schema_of_a_base_view/viewing_the_schema_of_a_base_view) section for additional details related to base views. Hope this helps!
