Hi I would use the Create Base View From Query option in the Teradata JDBC data source configuration dialog box to specify the SQL query to create views from Teradata Macros For instance, I would use the following query in the Create from Query option under the Create base view tab with the query to execute macros like: `exec database_name.macroname` You could refer to the [Using the Create Base View From Query Option](https://community.denodo.com/kb/en/view/document/Using%20the%20Create%20Base%20View%20From%20Query%20Option) Knowledge Base Article for more information. Thanks , I am able to import the Macro as you suggested but when I run it in VQL I get this error: Finished with error: Error executing query. Total time 0.649 seconds. QUERY [VIRTUAL] [ERROR] QUERY [JDBC WRAPPER] [ERROR] QUERY [JDBC ROUTE] [ERROR] Received exception with message '[Teradata Database] [TeraJDBC 16.20.00.13] [Error 3707] [SQLState 42000] Syntax error, expected something like a name or a Unicode delimited identifier or an 'UDFCALLNAME' keyword or a 'SELECT' keyword or '(' between '(' and the 'Execute' keyword.'

Hi, In case the creation of base view from the Teradata macro fails with the error **Syntax error, expected something like a name or a Unicode delimited identifier**, I would perform the following check: * I would check if the syntax of the query used in the Create from Query option is correct. * Also, I would check the syntax used for the creation of the macro in the Teradata database.
