Hi, Starting from Denodo Platform 8.0, you could store the Metadata of a Virtual DataPort instance to an External Database and the Virtual DataPort servers in a cluster can share the same external database. With this, the changes made in one Virtual DataPort server will be propagated to the other servers. You can also configure an external database to store the metadata of the Solution Manager instead of the embedded Apache Derby database. The information about environments, clusters and servers will be transferred to the external database. You can take a look at [**Setting-Up an External Database**](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/latest/en/solution_manager/administration/configuration/database_configuration/database_configuration) section of Solution Manager Administration Guide for more information about leveraging the external database configuration and the elements that can be stored in the database. Also, you can find more information in the [**Denodo Platform Cluster Architecture**](https://community.denodo.com/kb/en/view/document/Denodo%20Platform%20Cluster%20Architecture) Knowledge Base Article. If you still need help and you are a valid support user, then you may rasie a new Support ticket at **[Denodo Support Site](https://support.denodo.com/)** so that our Support Team will assist you further. Hope this helps!
