Use Custom Stored Procedure to connect to a VDP Data Source

Hi, Is it possible to write a custom stored procedure in java, that uses the connection of one of the VDP data sources? For example, have the java stored procedure run a query on an object that doesnt exist as a base view in Denodo? Thanks!

Hi, the Denodo Stored Procedures only have access to views that already exist in Denodo. Depending on your use case there are different approaches that you can follow, here you have some examples: * Create a view in your data source using the "Create from Query" option. If you use @Query as query then you will be able to use that view in your SP using 'SELECT * FROM view where query = 'select * from tableindb' '. This approach will only work if query always return the same columns. * Use the Denodo Scheduler and create a JDBC Data source. In the extraction section of your job you can use the query you need I hope this helps!
