Change schema name during deployment

Hi, We have few VDBs that we need to deploy using revision or thru VCS from dev to test and prod environments. Here the issue is we have "Test" schema in both dev and test but when we move it to prod it changes from "Test" to "Prod". Is there a way that we can change the schema name during deployment? I know the process of changing it on VQL export we are looking for something better and easier than that. Thanks in advance.

Hi, In general, when promoting between environments, the VQL changes from the source environment are applied to the target environment using the Virtual DataPort properties which parameterizes the information of certain elements inside the VQL. For your scenario, I would follow the below steps to modify the schema name present in the target environment: * While creating [revision](, under [Additional options]( section, enable the **Include environment properties for catalog and schema names in JDBC base views** option. * From the data source of your requirement add the essential base views to the revision. * [Validate the revision]( against the target environment (Production). * If the target environment does not have the properties defined then, you could add the needed SCHEMANAME as well as CATALOGNAME (as per the Production environment) of the required base view under the **Create Missing VQL Properties** section. * If the properties are already included, then you could navigate to the target environment > [**Virtual DataPort Properties**]( section where you could edit the CATALOGNAME and SCHEMANAME name (as required in the Production environment) for the base views. * Finally, [Deploy]( the revision in the target environment. Hope this helps!!
