What Is New in Denodo 7.0 Update 7.0u20200803¶
This page lists the main enhancements added in the update 7.0 20200803 of the Denodo Platform.

Enhancements that Apply to All Modules
Added support for exporting the metadata of Virtual DataPort and the settings of the other modules, to be imported into Denodo 8.0 (the next major version of Denodo).
Important
To transfer the metadata and settings to the new version, you need to follow the steps of the Upgrade Guide 8.0; if you simply export and import these into 8.0, you will run into errors.
The operating systems CentOS 8.x, CentOS 8.x, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x and Oracle Linux 8.x are now supported. The section Supported Platforms contains the list of all the supported operating systems.
Information about Deprecated Features
The following features have been deprecated with the release of this update:
The stored procedure LIST_JDBC_DATASOURCE_TABLES is deprecated. We suggest you start using the procedure GET_JDBC_DATASOURCE_TABLES because “GET_JDBC_DATASOURCE_TABLES” has several input parameters to filter the information obtained from the source, which may speed up the query.
In Custom Wrappers API, the constructor
CustomWrapperFieldExpression.CustomWrapperFieldExpression(String, List<CustomWrapperFieldExpression>)is now deprecated (full list of deprecated methods, constructors… of this API).The Denodo4Eclipse plugin is deprecated. Instead, developers should follow the instructions of the article How to debug Denodo custom extensions with Eclipse of the Denodo Knowledge Base. See more about this in the section Denodo4Eclipse Plugin (page Features Deprecated in Virtual DataPort 7.0 of the Upgrade Guide).
