Presto

  • Presto has been upgraded to 0.292

  • Now, Parquet vectorized readings are enabled by default, leading to significant performance improvements

  • Fixed cases where reading Delta Lake tables after incremental updates could exceed timeout

  • Embedded MPP can connect now to Snowflake Open Catalog, Unity Catalog and Nessie Catalog to read Iceberg tables

  • Fixed statistics gathering when Hive partitions names have non-canonical values

  • Now, the Metastore Cache can be configured through values.yaml

  • Renewal of the soon-to-expire self-signed certificate distributed with Embedded MPP

Hive Metastore

  • Hadoop has been upgraded to 3.3.6

Denodo

  • From Denodo 9.2 delete operation on Iceberg tables are allowed

Helm and Kubernetes

  • Deployment is helm-based only, the cluster.sh script is no longer required

  • Now, container images run with JDK17

  • Added environment variables to configure Azure Managed Identities and Azure OAuth2 client credentials

  • Now, additional volume and volumeMounts can be configured via values.yaml

  • Allow to configure resource limits and requests to the init-cacerts container

  • Added quotes around large integers that Helm changed to scientific notation
