Change the Default Passwords¶
Virtual DataPort
Virtual DataPort has a default administrator account. For security, create a new administrator user and then,
remove the user admin
. To do it, follow these steps:
Open the administration tool of Virtual DataPort or the Design Studio and log in to the Server with the default credentials:
Login: admin
Password: admin
Server URI: //denodo-server.acme.com:9999/admin
Click the menu Administration > User management.
Click New and fill in the details:
Login: the name of the new account.
User type: select Administrator.
Authentication type: select Normal.
Enter the password.
Click Ok.
Click the menu File > Disconnect and log in with the new user account.
Click the menu Administration > User management.
Select the user admin and click Delete.
Design Studio
The Design Studio has an administrator account to control its settings (this user account does not have access to any data). For security, change the password of this account. To do it, follow these steps:
Open a browser and go to https://denodo-server.acme.com:9443/denodo-design-studio/#/web-local-login (this is to open the Design Studio of the Denodo Platform).
Enter the default password (“admin”).
Click Configuration (on the top right) and then, click Change password.
Enter the current password (“admin”) and the new one.
Click Ok.
Repeat these steps for all your installations of the Denodo Platform.
Repeat these steps for the Design Studio of the Solution Manager: https://denodo-solution-manager.acme.com:19443/denodo-design-studio/#/web-local-login
Alternatively, you can do this with the script change password of the Design Studio.
Data Catalog
The Data Catalog has an administrator account to control its settings (this user account does not have access to any data). For security, change the password of this account. To do it, follow these steps:
Open a browser and go to https://denodo-server.acme.com:9443/denodo-data-catalog/#/web-local-login
Enter the default password (“admin”).
Click Administration (on the top right) and then, click Change password.
Enter the current password (“admin”) and the new one.
Click Ok.
Repeat these steps for all your installations of the Denodo Platform.
Alternatively, you can do this with the script change password of the Data Catalog.
