Tags Management¶
The Tag management page shows the current list of tags in the Data Catalog. You can filter the list of tags by name or description. Just enter some text in the search bar under the Filter tags title, select the fields where to search the text and click the icon.
From this page you can manage the tags available in the Data Catalog: create new tags, edit the existing ones or remove them. In addition, you can define the set of views and web services that belong to a particular tag.
Note that the tags imported from Virtual DataPort are represented by the icon and they have both edit and assign options disabled.
Create Tags¶
To create a new tag click the Add tag button. In the dialog that appears, you have to give values for the fields:
Name. The name of the tag.
Description. A description for the tag.
Edit Tags¶
To edit a tag click its icon and select the Edit tag option. You will access the details page for the selected tag, where you can use the icons to modify its name and its description.
From the Views and Web services tabs in the details page you can check the elements from the server that belong to the tag. You can use the Assign tag button to change the elements of the tag.
Remove Tags¶
To remove a tag click its icon and select the Remove option.
You can remove several tags at once. Select them and click the Remove button in the toolbar.
Assign Tags¶
To assign a tag to several views and web services click its icon and select the Assign tag option. A new page will appear with the following elements:
In the sidebar you will see all the available views and web services in the server as a tree, which is organized by databases and folders. You can filter the elements in the tree using the search bar under the Database title.

The Web services table, with all the web services that currently belong to the tag.
To assign views or web services to the tag:
Select them in the tree on the sidebar.
Drag-and-drop them to the target table or click the Assign button in the toolbar.
You can remove views or web services from the tag in one of the following ways:
To remove an element, click the icon next to its name.
To remove several elements, select them in the tables and click the Remove button in the toolbar.
