Databases¶
When you find a database of your interest, click its name. You will see all the available information about it, considering both the metadata retrieved from Virtual DataPort and the metadata added by other users of the Data Catalog.
If you click a database, you will see a page with all its details:
Summary. The summary pill shows the basic information of the database: description and custom properties.
From the Views and Web services pills you can browse all the elements created in the database. If you click the name of a view or web service, you will see its details page.
Relationships. The relationships pill displays a graph where every view is linked to other related views. Two views are related when there is an association between them.
Requests. The requests pill displays the requests created on this database.
In the upper right corner click the Open in and then the Connection URLs buttons to obtain the URLs to connect to this database through all the available APIs: JDBC, ODBC, REST, OData and GraphQL.

Click the
icon next to each URL to copy it to the clipboard¶
Note
The Connection URLs button may have been disabled by the administrator of the Data Catalog.
If the database is synchronized and the user has permissions to create requests, the corresponding buttons for creating requests will be displayed when you click the Actions button in the upper right corner.
