Denodo Virtual DataPort as Analytics Data Source

OBIEE allows creating repositories files (RPD) in order to import the metadata from your data sources into the Oracle BI Server. Importing metadata directly from data sources entails importing the structure of the physical layer. Data from these Oracle data sources can be displayed on Oracle BI Interactive Dashboards.

Important: it is possible to import the metadata through an ODBC and, from OBIEE 12c, it is also possible to perform the connection through JDBC. However, OBIEE sends queries with a syntax that is not currently supported by the Denodo JDBC driver. Therefore we strongly recommend using the ODBC interface.

Denodo Virtual DataPort as Data Source for the OBIEE BI Publisher.

Oracle BI Publisher is a reporting tool that provides the ability to create and manage formatted reports from a wide range of data sources.

Oracle BI Publisher allows us to define your data model using existing OBIEE analysis but also it can take the data from different data sources. The data can come from a database, an HTTP XML feed, a Web service, etc.
