Kerberos authentication is supported in the Denodo Platform starting from 6.0. This authentication type is used by Microsoft Active Directory and allows to leverage the existing authentication infrastructure. The main benefit of this authentication is that it provides users with Single Sign-on (SSO) access so they only have to authenticate once per session.

The section “Setting-up Kerberos Authentication” of the Denodo Platform Installation Guide explains how to set up a Kerberos server (Active Directory) to configure it to work with Virtual DataPort.

The section "Kerberos Authentication" of the Virtual DataPort Administration Guide  explains how to configure in the Virtual DataPort Server and the Administration Tool.

The section "Connecting to Virtual DataPort Using Kerberos Authentication" of the Virtual DataPort Developer Guide explains how to use Kerberos authentication from a JDBC client.
