Denodo 7.0 and Denodo 8.0

Only users with Admin privileges can see all the data sources created in a particular database by default.

In order to allow a non-admin user access to other data sources in a database, the METADATA privilege can be assigned to that particular database. Users with this privilege can view the data sources created in this database. However, with this privilege the user will not be able to edit the data sources.

In order to be able to edit the data sources of the database, the user should have WRITE privileges in that particular database.

Also, we can assign METADATA and WRITE privileges for a particular data source instead of the complete database.

Previous Denodo Versions

Only users with Admin privileges can see all the data sources created in a particular database. A non admin user can only see data sources created by herself.

In order to allow a non-admin user access to other data sources, it is necessary to change user privileges to admin on the database where the data sources are created.
