The upgrade process from a previous version to the last version of the Denodo Platform involves  the following steps:

  • Export all the metadata from the previous Denodo Platform installation.
  • Install the new Denodo Platform version in a new location.
  • Import the metadata from the previous version to the new one.

This upgrade process must be done for each of the environments where the Denodo Platform is installed.

An important thing to keep in mind for this process is to upgrade the Denodo JDBC and ODBC drivers in every application that uses them. New drivers can be located in the <DENODO_HOME>/tools/client-drivers folder.

Note: Before upgrading to Denodo 9, please refer to the Denodo Platform Upgrade Guide.
