Introscope is a flat file database. To connect to the Introscope database there is a JDBC driver available.

When creating a JDBC data source using this driver, the data source can be created, but creating base views from query or from the schema tree causes several errors. As a consequence, it is not possible to create any base view.

Those errors are caused by limitations of the Introscope JDBC driver. Introscope does not provide the schema information and the driver does not support PreparedStatements which is a standard functionality of the JDBC drivers.

To import an Introscope database it is recommended to use a Web service data source accessing the Introscope SOAP web service interface.
